Number 31 - The Elf And The Poppy

An ant's-eye view of a Poppy. Beautifully drawn and detailed and set against a china blue sky. This is an Enid Blyton story so there is also an elf gathering poppy seeds. It's number 31 of Blyton's Nature Prints for schools that were available in the 1950's. Eileen Soper's signature is visible in the bottom right of the print. Some of these prints have slightly odd titles! This is because they were each linked to an Enid Blyton story that the teacher read to the class. The titles are taken from the stories.

There is a thick black border around the print and the condition within it is very good. The colours are bright and clear and there are no tears or creases. There are a few season themed prints all with characters from the stories, they look lovely framed up and displayed together. Head to the shop for more.
