This beautiful 1950's cotton has a patchwork of flowers set in red and dove grey squares and with stitch-like printed lines joining them up.
I love this pattern! The colours are beautiful and muted and the design works well as a mixture of abstract and floral - typical of the period. The flowers are a mix of daisies, pansies and iris like plants all done in yellow, white and blue. The background colour is white.
This is a textured cotton and is beautifully soft. It's unused and in good vintage condition and with even colours and selvedges to both sides. I haven't tracked down a designer yet but it certainly has a David Whitehead feel.
This vintage cotton is a midweight fabric so suitable for... just about anything. It measures 86cm wide and is sold by the half metre. If you order more than one unit it will come as a continuous piece.
