welcome to the handmade and vintage shop > Vintage Posters & Prints > 1930's School Posters - Original
This classroom poster dates from the 1930's and shows the nature table in a classroom. The children have been growing Hyacinths and Daffodils. The colours in this print are beautiful and soft and conjure up an early Spring day. It is number 45 in a series.
These vintage classroom posters date from 1938 and were created by Enid Blyton in collaboration with a number of well known illustrators of the day. They were designed as talking points to be used in infant school classrooms. They conjure up the era perfectly; filled with children and nature subjects all in the styles and colours of the period. Jolly Times!
The posters have crisp, clear colours and are printed on heavy white paper. Most have signs of wear and marks around the edges but the central images are all in good condition. They have been stored flat which has protected the image and means no creases. There are lots of other subjects in the shop.
They look fantastic framed up and on display in both children's and adult rooms.
Overall size is 52cm x 40cm. Image size 42cm x 30cm.
