Tintin Character Cotton - Green - 120cm x 50cm

This fabulous Tintin cotton is covered with characters in various scenes. My favourite is the car with the Thomson and Thompson in but Tintin, Captain Haddock, Professor Calculus and others appear too.

Herge's characters are well spaced on this pale green/blue cotton and vary in size from 6cm to 15cm. You could use the cotton as it is or divide it up to make lots of pieces for patchwork or quilting. There are two panels available.

This Tintin cotton print is early and a fairly rare one. It's hard to date as there is no selvedge, but I would guess that this is from the 1970's or early 80's. The condition of the cotton is good and strong but there is some fading and fold lines to the print. This is consistent across the panel and gives a gentle overall fade to the panels. I quite like the feeling of age but it may not be suitable for every project.
