Vintage Asterix & Friends Cotton - 95cm x 100cm

This fantastic French Asterix cotton dates from 1989 and shows many of the characters from the Goscinny & Uderzo books. On a pale blue background we find Asterix, Obelix, Vitalstatistix and Dogmatix in various scenes along with a copyright mark for the year.

This is a rare find and it's made me very happy! The illustrations are crisp and clear and filled with the usual witticisms that make the books so brilliant. (My favourite is the scene with the camel!). The drawings are well spaced if you want to divide them for a quilt or patchwork project. This is dress weight cotton. It's reclaimed but overall in good condition. The cotton is soft from washing and there may be a slight fade but it's gentle and doesn't detract.

Asterix Cotton measures 95cm across and is sold by the metre. If you order more than one unit it will come as a continuous piece to a maximum of 2 metres.
