Vintage Belgian Spirou Fabric - 70cm x 60cm

Vintage French cotton featuring Spirou.

Spirou, (meaning squirrel), is the character on this cotton from France. He features in the Spirou comic which has been going since the 1930's. This vintage childrens fabric features him in a number of incarnations. The characters measure about 10cm high and are well spread out on the white background. There is a copyright and date mark for 1994 beneath one of them, and the signature of the artist - Tome Janry - beneath another.

This is a rare fabric, the characters are well spaced so if you wanted to cut them out for smaller projects you could. Someone has done just that previously so this piece is an uneven size. It measures 70cm across and 60cm - 80cm long.
