1970's Rupert the Bear Cotton - 120cm x 70cm

This Fabulous Rupert cotton was made by Jonelle for John Lewis and dates to 1972. This is an upholstery weight cotton, in excellent condition with no marks and bright colours. There are selvedges to both sides which contain the full attribution.

This is 100% white cotton with printed scenes from the Rupert Bear stories. There are 8 different pictures in all, filled with Rupert and his Nutwood chums on their adventures. The scenes are approximately 20cm high and between 20cm and 28cm wide.

These Rupert Bear cotton panels are perfect for adding to a patchwork or for making a cushion or bag, the fabric is also suitable for a vintage upholstery project.

There are two pieces available, each measures 70cm long x 120cm wide and will give you one of each of the pictures plus part images of the next row down. If you order both, they will come as a continuous piece.
