Vintage Christmas Diorama Sets

Create a mini Christmas village with one of these boxes of vintage goodies.

Each of these boxes contains 12 pieces:  Geman Erzgebirge buildings, Christmas trees and either wooden Erzgebirge figures or animals. You can add them to your existing Christmas ornaments to make a diorama, or arrange them on a window, mantlepiece of shelf. They come in a clear bag tied with string so they make a perfect small gift too.

The tradition of building miniature Christmas village landscapes or "putz", began with the Pennsylvania Dutch in the late 1800s. Made from wood or cardboard, the houses, animals and other figures were arranged to make a festive scene. These little boxes are made to continue that tradition.
