Rare Abstract Vintage Barkcloth Cotton - 1950's - 75cm x 42cm

Unused barkcloth from the 1950's filled with a vibrant, abstract design.

This is a rare survivor, a stunning piece of abstract fabric filled with diamond shapes and black lines in red, green and white. It's unused with no fold lines and no fading.

There a selvedge to one side, but no marks, so I am struggling to name the designer/maker. It sits well in the style of other post war designers so I feel confident dating it to the 1950's.

It will make a stunning cushion front, bag or centrepiece for a quilt. It would also frame well fro a piece of original textile art.

There are two pieces available, each measures 75cm wide x 42cm long. If you buy both, they will come as a continuous length.
