Vintage USSR - Folk Art - Christmas Decorations

Lovely hand painted set of Russian guards in a pretty box and with loops to hang on a Christmas tree.

This is a set of 5 guards, dating from the 1930's/40's. Each guard is numbered on the base and matched to a label on the inside of the lid - this is a modern copy. They are in the uniforms for the palace security of Nicolai II (1900) and the description assigns each of them to a position in the palace guard. Each guard is about 7cm high.
In lovely condition and presented in a box covered with a decorative paper.
