Vintage Sewing Box - Slow Stitch Kit - Vida

A vintage gift box packed with vintage fabrics, lace, trims, buttons and threads.

This lidded box dates from the 1970's and is full of vintage sewing items and plenty of fabrics for making and creating. 

This vintage sewing set has a floral theme with a selection of bark cloth cottons and some linen. There are five fabric pieces in total, measuring 138cm x 20cm, 120cm x 20cm, 110cm x 15cm, 55cm x 50cm and 75cm x 45cm. There are two lengths of lace, one a cream crochet border and the other a deep Leavers Lace trim in beige. There's a length of tasseled trim, a card of ric-rac trim, a card of vintage French buttons and some original wooden Sylko threads.

Vintage sewing sets make great gifts, and this one is ready to hand over to a sewing friend! Or simply use the fabrics and trims to make bags, cushion covers, patchwork... there are any number of slow stitch and decorative projects that could be made from these contents.
