Vintage School Print - Winter by Eileen Soper

These vintage school prints by Eileen Soper for Enid Blyton are beautiful and nostalgic, with soft colours and detailed portrayals of the natural world.

Number 54  - Nid-Nod's Mistake

This is a print of fields and hedgerows in winter with Holly and Yew and their berries in the foreground and bare-branched trees behind. Because this is Enid Blyton, there are also a pixies! It's number 54 of Blyton's Nature Prints for schools that were available in the 1950's. Eileen Soper's signature is visable in the bottom right of the print. Some of these prints have slightly odd titles! This is because they were each linked to an Enid Blyton story that the teacher read to the class. The titles are taken from the stories.

There is a thick black border around the print and the condition within it is very good. The colours are bright and clear and there are no tears or creases.There are a few season themed prints all with characters from the stories, they look lovely framed up and displayed together.
