These vintage school prints by Eileen Soper for Enid Blyton are beautiful and nostalgic, with soft colours and detailed portrayals of the natural world.

Number 7 - The Little Hidden Spell

This is a charming print snowdrops in the early spring. There is detailed drawing of a bulb in the top right and a lovely soft, wintery light to the picture as a whole. This is Enid Blyton so there are also to fairy like figures picking flowers. Charming. It's number 7 of Blyton's Nature Prints for schools that were available in the 1950's. Eileen Soper's signature is visible in the bottom right of the print. Some of these prints have slightly odd titles! This is because they were each linked to an Enid Blyton story that the teacher read to the class. The titles are taken from the stories.

There is a thick black border around the print and the condition within it is very good. The colours are bright and clear and there are no tears or creases. There are a few season themed prints all with characters from the stories, they look lovely framed up and displayed together. Head to the shop for more.
