1970's Folk Art Print Sailor & Soldier Cotton - 90cm Wide

Screen printed cotton in a folk art print of childrens soldiers, sailors, forts and sailing ships.

This is a lovely vintage cotton with big, bold illustrations in bright colours. There are sailors and their 3-masted sailing ship and soldiers with their Trumpton like fort. It's all printed in red, blue and yellow in a simple block style.

Condition is good with bold colours and strong cotton. There are a couple of tiny marks and a few slubby bits on the cotton weave. The only thing to note is that the blocks on the right hand side of the fabric are not printed straight - they have a definite slant! If you divide the blocks for cushions or into rectangles it could be corrected, otherwise it's really just part of the charm of this folksy fabric.

It is 90cm across and sold in 70cm lengths* (see the second picture). If you order both, it will come as a continuous piece. 

*Please note that although both lengths contain all the images, one has two forts and the other, two ships.
